The Nairobi International Trade Fair, 2023, under the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth,” was the stage for participation of the 4-K Clubs which had a demonstration site at the showgrounds. The 4-K Club mission is to revolutionize the perception of agriculture among Kenya’s youth, inspiring a new generation of agricultural leaders and showcasing the potential of agribusiness as a rewarding career path. The 4-K Club program is a unique initiative aimed at empowering school-going children with agricultural and life skills. It seeks to debunk the myth that agriculture is only for older generations while instilling a deep sense of connection to the land and the possibility of making a difference through agribusiness.
During NITF 2023, various engaging activities took place. Among the highlights a visit by H.E. President William Ruto to the 4-K Club stand where he interacted with our young learners who were present. Some of the schools that had displays at the demonstration stand were from Good Testimony International School, Thomas Burke, Kangemi Primary, and Clane Academy.
